McKinney Avenue Trolley Parade @ 10am ! ! ! ! ! starts almost in front of us! : McKinney Avenue between Oak Grove and Maple avenues.

"On Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, the McKinney Avenue Trolley Association will celebrate Rosie, the Trolley's 100th birthday AND the 20th anniversary of the McKinney Avenue Trolleys. What better to do that than with a fun and exciting Trolley parade down McKinney Avenue between Oak Grove and Maple avenues."

There was a private event here at the MAC this evening.  A Stanford Graduate School of Business admissions recruitment event.

We did not get a chance to welcome the attendees to The MAC, but I knew what I wanted to say:

We hope to see you here at the opening in just a little while, but whether you can come to tonights party and opening or not, be sure to look at the color catalog for Matthew Lopas when you come see the paintings on exhibit! They are complex and beautiful images. and the catalog is a steal at $5!

BTW, of you didn't receive a mailed printed invitation, or pick one up for Saturday Night's event (5:30 - 7:30 , with free beer and hot dogs in honor of labor day!) - it is a nice one.

After the wonderful,chaotic intensity of 170+ pieces of art in our XV: Anything Membership Exhibition, the two exhibits opening tomorrow are a soothing, refreshing c-a-l-m.

The Brian Fridge video installation fills the entire Square Gallery, Amy Revier's constructions are stoic and mute, Paul Slocum's piece is quietly mesmerizing, and Edward Setina's installation consuming.

And Matthew Lopas' paintings are quite simply fabulous painting.
